I should get back into the habit of dating my pictures. (Writeing the date and my signature)

as for my focus. when I have time to RP it's usually on Ekiri.
just because I guess I enjoy RPing her alot, easier to jump into her skin XD;
This is the one i'm current working in progressing on currently, and a source of woes since I am unsure how to go abouts making the arm in SL, invisible prims may be the way to go for the fingertips and the thumb. though I'll have to keep close eye to see how it turns out....since the SL avatar likes to clench it's hand randomly.
as well as I've thought long and hard about Ekiri's fighting style,
now this isn't a subject i've touched for the last while since...Holy shit Ekiri has had absolutely no weapons aside from RP fighting and materia for the past....five months? D:
Glad nobody noticed. XD....I hope nobody noticed. I think there's a rule about that somewhere.
anyways moveing onwards, those things comeing out of the finger tips are puncture needles. though honestly I understand the design I made about as much as anyone gawking at a machine for the first time would. all I know is, by some way the mechanisms inside spin around retracting forwards and backwards the puncture needles and spreading them out to the individual fingers via artificial muscles, of course she can't really bend the fingers when the needles are out, that's when the poking and prodding begins. how is it powered? hydrogen fuel cells. two slots on the upright wrist on the right means two cells, though i'm probably just talking out of my ass in ace ventura style. I'm sure Bob Ross would have an easier time with this then I would pairing happy little trees together. but this is a fun project and is helping me learn Blender and Re-learn a bit of Photoshop after useing Paint tool Sai for quite a while.
I like to think I know how to make things work in a fictional universe based around guys who carry around giant swords, have hair that defy gravity and is filled with...awesome?- disney characters dropping in wearing swat helmets next to XD;
though I learn that I never quite know. D:
additionally I've been pondering her fighting style, since Ekiri's beeb makeing the transition from Caster to a mid range. caster and fighter. (AKA: Battlemage, I know everyone and their mother is one, though suits Ekiri a bit more then decently with her history and start of RP), though that's just thought for combat system, Ekiri's gone from being a fighter to caster and back twal, now inbetween. (Temporary gunner too, though...hell.
that's a black sheep in her CS history)
as far as RP style goes, just thinking about it in concepton but Ekiri would use her small size to her advantage as well as speed, puncture the right place could cause paralysis or worse injury. at the very least, a bad poke, though I'll need to study other people's RP fights before anything of this becomes even the slightest bit solid. there's alot I need to learn, what qualifies as an attempt what qualifies as sucess. what would fail countering materials the human and demi-human element and then the stupid element which is always put into play =/
or I could go throw all that out the window and substitute it for the wok of justice!....no i'll save that for a character that might actually be useful XD
Maybe Shin.
Moveing onto another subject is I need to remake Ekiri's avatar a bit again @_@;
the hair. currently, yeah the hair looks fabulous but it's a 200 tortured prim hairdo. I mean I like that hair and all, but in all fairness looking fabulous is not a good trade for lagging everyone around me, a solution could be sculptie prims.
though I've heard transparent textures, and sculpties can be resource polluters of their own.
A quote I took from the SL building forums when I was looking up this very thing.
Chosen Few: "Be careful how many sculpties you use in a build. Remember, every one of them has 2048 polygons in it. Pile a few hundred of them up, and you're talking hundreds of thousands, or possibly even millions, of polygons. That's enough to lag the hell out of almost everyone in visual range."
-A post later same person-
"Don't worry if it's just a handful. No one's framerate will be made or broken by the presence of absence of sixsculpties. Or even 60 sculpties. Take it into the hundreds, though, and you'd have a problem."
Slowly learning how not to kill simulators though at the same time I'd just like to break stress by dropping a giant divided by zero sculpty that plays this 24/7.
